Ordering
All plant orders must be picked up in person on the east side of Madison. You will receive an email confirmation and instructions when your order is ready for pickup. All of the species listed in our store are currently growing!
About Us
Welcome to Sprig Native Plant Nursery - a woman-owned, Madison-based online nursery on a mission to help local gardeners replace turf lawns with thriving native habitats. Every plant is grown from Midwest seed in small 2.5-inch pots, never wild-dug, and raised without harmful neonicotinoid pesticides. With self-serve pickup on Madison's East side, free beginner resources, and affordable custom garden design services, Sprig empowers you to build resilient landscapes that support local wildlife and strengthen our ecosystem - one square foot at a time.
Why Native Plants?
Native plants are plants that have been in this area for along time. Without them, the butterflies, bees, and other insects and birds that evolved along with them cannot survive. Many have deep roots that help capture carbon from the atmosphere and store it underground. The deep roots also help absorb water making our community more resilient to heavy rains and climate change.
Oh, and did we mention they are beautiful?
