Easy to grow, hardy plant that is tolerant of most conditions. Black-eyed Susan is a biennial (lasting 2 years) but is fast growing and will reseed. A favorite of pollinators, including butterflies, moths, and bees. Host plant for Silvery Checkerspot butterfly caterpillars. Songbirds, especially goldfinches, use the seeds as a food source.
