This tall behemoth stands at 6 feet and forms medium-sized yellow flowers. Its leaves form opposite each other and clasp the stem, forming a small bowl that collects water, giving it its name. Birds drink from the pooled water and will eat the seeds in the fall. Cup plant can spread aggressively, overwhelming smaller species, so may not be well suited for smaller garden plantings.
