A member of the mint family that does well in partial shade and a variety of soil types. It spreads by rhizomes and forms clumps with purple flower spikes. The flowers attract a variety of pollinators, including long-tongued and short-tongued bees, bee flies, Syrphid flies, butterflies, and skippers.
