    An excellent landscaping plant, these have a small shrub like form. Plants are slow growing and take several years to establish. Its deep root system makes it very drought-tolerant and able to thrive in hot, dry conditions and poor soils. A member of the legume family that helps fix nitrogen in the soil, making it available for other plants. Host plant for the Wild Indigo Duskywing butterfly.
