Eastern Star Sedge

Carex radiata

A beautiful clump forming sedge that does well in partial to full shade. At only 12 inches tall, its wispy, delicate leaves add interesting texture to a shade garden. It also divides well so after a few years you could split existing plants and start new patches. It is a cool-season species that grows activity in the spring and fall when temperatures are cooler.
