Species details:
Gray Dogwood is a hardy, adaptable shrub that brings rich ecological value to any native planting. In late spring, clusters of small white flowers draw a variety of pollinators, including native bees and butterflies. As summer fades, white berry-like fruits provide an excellent food source for songbirds. Its dense, suckering growth provides excellent cover and nesting habitat for birds and small wildlife.
In autumn, its foliage turns soft shades of burgundy and purple, adding seasonal color. This shrub tolerates a wide range of soils and moisture levels, making it a reliable choice for hedgerows, naturalized areas, and restoration plantings.
