Honewort is a shade-loving plant that can form dense colonies. Its small white flowers are not very showy but are very attractive to native bees, flies and wasps. It can be aggressive in ideal conditions so may not be suitable for home landscapes. To limit its spread, cut off spent flower clusters before seeds have formed. Host plant for Black Swallowtail butterfly caterpillars.
