Ivory Sedge

Ivory Sedge is a delicate, fine-textured native sedge that brings soft movement and subtle charm to shaded landscapes. Its slender, arching green leaves form neat, clumping mounds that stay attractive through the growing season. In late spring, the plant produces tiny, bristly flower spikes that add gentle visual interest without overwhelming nearby plants.

This low-growing sedge thrives in dry soil and is highly adaptable once established. It’s an excellent choice for understory plantings, rock gardens, shaded borders, and naturalized woodland areas.  It stays compact and well-behaved, making it ideal for small spaces or as a fine-textured groundcover beneath trees.
