A tall, statuesque native perennial with whorled leaves and sturdy, often purple-spotted stems. In mid to late summer, it produces large, domed clusters of soft pink to mauve flowers that create a dramatic presence in prairies, meadows, rain gardens, and along wetland edges. This species is a powerhouse for wildlife, attracting a wide diversity of butterflies, bees, and other pollinators with its abundant nectar. It will spread over time.
