A beautiful plant with long-lasting yellow flowers that does well in sunny, dry sites. You can remove flowers that are done blooming and this will spur new blooms. It will form colonies, spreading by rhizomes underground. May spread aggressively in open, sunny sites. Attracts a variety of pollinators, including butterflies, skippers, moths, bees, wasps, and beetles. It is a host plant for several moth caterpillars. Finches and other songbirds will feed on the seeds and mammals may use the leaves as a food source.
