    Old Field Goldenrod

    Old Field Goldenrod

    Solidago nemoralis

A powerhouse for late-season color, Old Field Goldenrod thrives in sunny, dry, and nutrient-poor sites. At just 1–2 feet tall, it features elegant, arching wands of bright yellow blooms that provide a vital late-fall nectar source for migrating monarchs and native bees. Its distinct grayish-green foliage is covered in fine, soft hairs that add unique texture to the garden and offer natural resistance to deer. It does not spread aggressively like some goldenrod species.
