Also called Winecup, this plant is topped by stunning chalice-shaped magenta flowers and will slowly spread. The flowers will close in the evening and open in the morning. They will remain closed after pollination. It requires full sun and well-drained soil and will thrive in dry, nutrient poor soils. It can also look nice in a hanging basket or trailing over a wall.
