Yellow Coneflower
Ratibida pinnata
Yellow Coneflower (Ratibida pinnata), also known as Gray-headed Coneflower, is a hardy native wildflower found in prairies and savannas. Its tall, slender stems support bright yellow flowers with drooping petals and a central cone that matures from a deep brown to a gray.
This durable plant attracts bees and butterflies and withstands both drought and occasional flooding. It pairs well with prairie grasses and other native wildflowers. Its airy, swaying form and long bloom period make it a great addition to any wildflower garden.
