Zig Zag Goldenrod
Zig Zag Goldenrod
Solidago flexicaulis
Zig Zag Goldenrod is a hardy woodland native known for its distinctive zigzagging stems. It thrives in part shade to dappled sun, making it a valuable addition to woodland gardens. Clusters of golden-yellow flowers bloom from late summer into fall, providing a late-season nectar source for a wide-variety of pollinators when few other plants are in bloom.
Zig Zag Goldenrod spreads readily, forming lush patches of foliage that help with erosion control, especially in woodland settings. While its vigorous growth makes it a strong performer in larger landscapes, it may be too aggressive for small gardens. It thrives in moist, well-drained soils.
